Introduction

Hello and welcome to the day to day height frauding guide, we find these little methods incredibly handy day to day to give us up to 4 inches of extra height. We’re not touching limb lengthening here , we will have a thread about this in future.

This guide aims to cover the cheaper, faster and far less intrusive way to heightmax


Shoe lifts



Cheapest, most versatile and easiest. They drop into most shoes and can give you up to ~2" for like a ten dollars off Amazon.
Downside: the more height you stack, the less comfy they get, and some shoes won’t fit them. Also, if you take your shoes off you’re exposed. (We’ll fix that later.)

Height Fraud Ranking: S tier.

Lifts in your socks

Useful if you know you’ll be shoes-off (round a girl’s place, etc.). Discreet boost is ~1" max before it looks weird. Super cheap, so test if it suits you.

Indoor shoes that add height


I wear elevator slides indoors. They look casual, give me ~2", and don’t scream that I am wearing my outdoor shoes to heightfraud. Mine were about $50–60, holding up fine. They are even great for when travelling, whether lounging by the poolside or at some rave in Ibiza, they work a charm.

Ranking :A tier.

Elevator boots


This is the gold standard if you can wear boots most days. Some models push up to ~4".
Suddenly a 5'8 guy is basically 6' in public. They look normal with most fits and run $100–150.

Worth every penny. S tier.

Elevator sneakers

If boots aren’t your style, there are casual sneakers that add up to ~3". Similar price bracket. They look decent, just not big mainstream brands.

Ranking: A tier (points off for branding and slightly less lift than boots).

Converting your normal shoes (NT shoes + lifts)

If you refuse elevator brands, run your usual sneakers + lifts. You’ll get ~1.5" from lifts plus whatever the shoe already gives.

Some common combos (rough totals, shoe + sensible lift):


  • Nike Air Force 1: ~2.7–2.9"

  • Timberlands: ~3.0" is reasonable (can sometimes push more)

Rule of thumb: look up the shoe’s base stack height, then add ~1.5–2.0" depending on what lift you can actually tolerate without your heel popping out.

A tier for versatility, but comfort can varydepending on the shoe + lift combo.
