In this guide I will cover:
  1. The materials needed
  2. Injection Sites
  3. What needles to choose
  4. How to Injection
  5. Things that go wrong and how to handle it
The Materials needed
So first of all what do we need
  • Syringes
  • Drawing needle
  • Injecting needle
  • Alcohol swaps
  • What you wanna inject
  • Some type of tissue
So I HIGHLY recommend getting these at a Pharmacy. If you think about getting needles syringes or alcohol swabs from Amazon or some shit DON'T. They are very cheap, obviously the price differs but here in Germany I get 100needles for 12$ which is pretty cheap and highly worth the price
Injection Sites
So now we have our setup where do we inject?
So for starting there are 3 main injection sides I'm gonna cover

  1. Deltoid
  2. Mid/outer Thigh
  3. Hips/ass
Deltoid
So the deltoid is genuinely considered the most "basic" beginner site.

While injecting you have to be cautious to not get near the Acromion. As injecting near that has the risk of hitting a bone with you're needle and also there's a major nerve sitting there and trust me you don't wanna hit one. I also injected my first time in the delta. But I wouldn't really recommend as it is inconvenient only having one hand available and that also hardens the injection part. I also made pretty bad experience as I hit an vein once and also I bleed always a bit more after injection than from other points. Overall I give the side delt an 6/10
Middle/Outer thigh

So this site is the least known of the three but I wanted to include this one as it is my personal favourite and just super convenient to inject

1000018163.jpg

As we can see we first of all have a really big site so less room for error, also you inject sitting down which helps with nervousness and for me personally I never really bleed so no inconvenience there. And furthermost it's really convenient as you have both hands fully available. Only downside is The PIP its generally the worst here but for me it was only the first time and not far more worse than delts.

Overall I give the mid/outer thigh an 9/10

Glutes
So the glutes is generally one if not the safest injection site, as it has no major blood vessels, and not a big fat layer on top, so easy to reach, and also has a large volume so good even if you're injecting much oil.
1000018161.jpg
When injecting here you can use you're fingers to spot the site and it's really good in terms of safety and I highly recommend it. Only downside is you have to inject standing up and pip can be bad.
Overall I also give glutes an 9/10

What needles to use
So when injecting intramuscular we need an needle for drawing and one for injecting . For drawing you can use an standard needle going from 18gauge to 21gauge. When injecting we need a smaller needle going from 24gauge to 27gauge. If you're scared of needles or don't wanna use an needle this big you can also use a slightly smaller needle, but there can be problems as some of the oil flowing back out of the injection site as it isn't deep enough but this shouldn't be too much of a problem still bigger needle is better.
How to inject
Now firstly we'll need our syringe. We take our needle and put it on the syringe while doing this be careful not to touch the ends which you put on the syringe as those are sterile. Remember the cap twists of and the whole needle u need to pull of. Now draw the amount of air in your syringe which you want to inject the oil with. So I'm doing 50mg of test c so I pull 0,2ml of air. Now we wipe the top of our lid of the vial with the alcohol pad.
View attachment 1000018181.mp4After that inject the air in the vial and than flip the vial upside down and draw the oil slowly(be careful the needles in the oil and not the air).pull a bit more here so for me I pull 0.25ml of oil. It's ok if there's a bit of air in the syringe.Kinda like this, this is normal1000018176.jpgNow if the substance is in the needle put the cap on the needle and pull the needle of and dispose it in a needle container. Now we put on the smaller needle and if there's air in the syringe center it above the needle and really really slowly draw out the air until a drop of oil comes on top of the needle. Now clean the area u want to inject with an alcohol swap and let it sit in for 30secs. Now we're ready to inject, put the needle in an 90° angle in the muscle and slowly inject. I did it in my thigh and this is how an injection should look like
View attachment 1000018180.mp4Than pull out and if there's a little bit of blood just wipe it with your tissue

Things that go wrong and how to handle it
So the most common one is PIP(post injection pain). For me it was like a big muscle soreness. This will most likely occure to you after the first few injections. To counteract this massage the injection point and treat it with heat. Also you can do light exercise for the muscle. E.g for delta light lateral raises.
Now for the more serious ones.

Hitting a vein. This personally happened to me. And that's the main reason I have tissues ready as I immediately started to bleed heavy and left a trail of blood to the shower. So first you will either if available put a compress on or if not shower the blood away and after immediately cool the point you will feel a big lump there and the cooling will help put it down. After the place will have discoloration for a week but nothing serious.
Hitting a nerve. Now luckily this didn't happen to me yet. But if you hit one you will feel it immediately. It hurts like hell just withdraw the needle. And do nothing. Let it sit and leave it. You may feel numbness around it and further down for some time but should go away after a day if not seek medical help.
Infection/Abscess if you show signs of those(redness, lumps, puss, pain etc ) this is not something to play with and sit it out you need to see medical care asap

Hope this guide helped
