Question My crush only speaks Spanish

Hey guys

There is this one girl I go to three classes with. And there were two occasions when I looked at her, and once she kind of smiled at me back. At least I guess she was smiling. I’ve been trying to figure it out for a few days, and I’m still confused what to do.

Problem is that she speaks only Spanish and I don’t even know a couple of words. How do I start conversation without it being awkward?

Any thoughts about what I should do?



It’s awkward to just stare at her. But then again, if I walk up to her I feel like I’m going to look stupid since I won’t be able to talk.

Has anyone had a similar experience? How did you initiate or overcome the language barrier?



And another question is is one possible smile any indication at all or am I overthinking it? We go to three classes together, so we’re around each other often. And I don’t want to mess anything up.

I mean I’ve been taking Duolingo every day since that day I know just like 3 or 4 sentences. It’s better than the first time I knew only the basic words.

You don't truly love her if you're not willing to learn an entirely new language just to talk to her

Well even then just learning another language will be better especially Spanish. Any time I try to order Hispanic food it’s such a pain in the ass trying to communicate so I mean it will probably be a win win.

Duolingo isn’t really a great app tbh it works well if you’re new but I would recommend watching kid shows in Spanish helps with easing in into a new language
