ACCUTANE GUIDE (Simple and Direct)
I took 20 mg of Accutane for about 6 months.
(Disclaimer I did drink alcohol while on Accutane and I was fine)
Here’s what I used, what I avoided, and what helped me get the best results.


Morning Routine
Wash your face with Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser.
Apply CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion.
Use SPF 30 or higher.
This routine stayed simple and worked the best for me.
Night Routine
Wash your face again with the same Cetaphil cleanser.
Apply CeraVe Moisturizing Lotion.
Use Aquaphor or Vaseline on your lips and on any dry patches.
What NOT To Use (based on my experience)
Avoid scrubs.
Avoid exfoliating acids.
Avoid retinol.
Avoid benzoyl peroxide.
Avoid waxing.
Avoid tanning or sunbathing.
Avoid harsh cleansers.
All of these made my skin more irritated while on Accutane.

Dry eye'
Nose dryness
Skin sensitivity

Month 1: Possible purge and dryness.
Months 2–3: Breakouts start to reduce.
Months 4–6: Skin clears up and texture improves.
