Theory It is hard to be content with the present, without a partner

Hi guys, wanted to make a nice little venting / theory post in the hangover of valentines day.

Thankfully I didn't go onto social media on that day, as I am sure it would have been suicide inducing.

I was thinking about the future, and how we always wish to be in the future, and we seldom value the present until it becomes the past. And I wondered to myself whether this is because we don't have a healthy relationship to regulate our emotions, enjoy the current, to actually spend time in the now rather than chasing our goals (this is something that us looksmaxxers and lifemaxxers are prone to doing.)

I feel a partner can be very grounding, improving the quality of life of us; and also providing much needed support with pursuing our goals. Also being a foundation for us to lean on in times of need or stress.

Life is harder alone that is for sure.

I hope we all find our woman some day

I heavily relate to this, and i think you are on to something. I think it would be way easier and more enjoyable to enjoy the present and share it with someone else, especially if its the love of your life. good post.
