It's already officially, Zelensky has surrendered the territory. Russia defeated NATO and their expansion. Russia straight up won fair and square and it was stupid to think it would play out any other way. Fighting Ukraine on It's own is one thing because Ukraine has thousands of IFV's and tanks it inherited from the Soviet Union. They had way more AFV's than any other European nation. Russia didn't just defeat Ukraine. Ukraine was used by NATO as a proxy, so they didn't just defend Ukraine, they defeated NATO, which is extremely impressive.
