Ok so first we need to know what onion links are. Onion links are special kinds of links that are anonymous, and they contain multiple random characters instead of a normal web domain (ex. hwtgbsoplfhsjmkletvz.onion). (btw that’s not a real link). However, onion links cannot be accessed by regular search engines, like Google or Safari.
How do I access onion links, then?
It’s easy, download Tor Browser onto your device. This will allow you to access any onion link. After that, that’s basically it. Tor also has a free VPN built into it, so feel free to use that.
Now for the fun part: what should I do on there?
First of all, do NOT LOOK AT CP. Second of all, I’ll be listing certain websites down below, like search engines, link directories, etc. I’ll also be giving my criticism and my personal opinions on each site.
Let’s look at the search engines first:
Ahmia.fi: Pretty good, this was my first ever search engine I went on. Search results were decent. One major issue with it is it’s kinda slow
Torch: Kinda like the opposite of Ahmia. Search results were not as great but it was more quicker overall. Also has a bunch of ads, but you can just ignore those
Deep Search: This one is horrible. Literally everything that you search somehow leads to cp. Do not use this site.
Now, let’s look at the link directories…
Imo, link directories are way better than search engines. You can instantly just go to whichever link you want. Here’s some link directories:
The Hidden Wiki: The most popular link directory. Has tons of various links and is probably my favorite
UnderDir: Also one of my favorites. It has WAY more links than Hidden Wiki, but about 80% aren’t working sadly, still nice though
TorDex: This one’s really good, not is it just a link directory but it’s also a search engine. It also has a cute anime girl as the mascot if you’re into that
Finally, let’s go over other fun sites to visit:
Dread: This is basically the dark web version of Reddit. If you’re a redditor go ahead and check that site out
Black Hat Chat: Chat room to talk about all things related to the dark web. Honestly it’s fun to troll in there so do that if you want. Can be found on the Hidden Wiki
Archive: Pirating site where you can download/watch movies and shows, as well as video games, music, and books, all for free. Can be found on the Hidden Wiki
