Why is it everytime that a neurodivergent people get looked down on and get blamed for stuff ?

This is the brutalist thing in existence,
No matter how good u look or how much money u have, u will always be diffrent and no medication can fix it.

I had a to film a presentation today in a store and it went completely wrong.

I was filming and i couldnt focus on my text that i needed to say, the sounds where too loud and anoying and the lights where too fucking bright and there where so many people and it was just hell,

When i go to a store i always have noise cancelling headphones on or just headphones playing music because idk but in clubs u can handle all the sounds and lights but whenever im in a store i cant.

Its like i get every part of information there is to recieve, think of the lights, the in store music, the people talking, the shopping carts making their jingly sound.

I didnt finish my presentation (my grandma who knows how to deal with autism) was calming me down.

When i was back in the car i just cried and ripped my button up shirt open.

Its fucking hell, people who say its a superpower are lying, it would be a superpower if everyone on earth was nd but we will never ever be the same as a neurotypical person.

Im just ranting ab this bc my friends dont even take it serious and i said to my clasmates who im making the presentation with that i have autism and i said i couldnt finish and they just called me and idiot and said i was making them mad.

I know almost no one will put their time in reading about this but holy fuck my day was ass today, i feel so fucking empty after being in a store for longer then 30 minutes without having headphones on.

Worst of all, it was a store im not familliar with so yeahh.

Yeah ndpill is extremely hard to swallow. I remember the first year of middle school There was this autistic kid in our science class, and one day w were discussing and stuff and he got really mad, and he started interrupting people. Everybody got pissed at him and told him to stfu

The next day we were sitting with our chairs in a circle and basically the teacher was lecturing us abt kids with autism and how the kid was diagnosed with autism and ADHD. The funny part was there were some kids (same kids who told him stfu) who were tearing up a little and this one popular nt girl was bawling into tears, saying “she didn’t know he was autistic”

I’ve never been diagnosed with autism myself but in that same year of middle school, as well as the past years Before that, I would go weeks without saying anything to my classmates or teachers. Idk if nonverbal would be the word for it but I don’t wanna be one of those people. And anytime we would have a presentation or speech of some sort I would internally go into panic and grow really anxious which would last like a few days or so, So i sorta get how you feel.

I lowk still feel like this sometimes. Today in English class the teacher was talking about us having a socratic seminar this week, and I got anxious and felt like how I did when I was in middle school. I really need to find better ways to cope with stuff like this

yh its pretty brutal but the thing is that there is nothing wrong with being nd it is just the way how people percieve it and treat it.
I think that it would be easier if people learned ab it more but even the textbooks ab autism or other neurodivergent brains but even then, NT people will never understand how it works, they just already have a prejudice about what someone who’s neurodivergent should be like.

Autism is a superpower is just a strait up lie. Unless you have severe autism you get no perks out of it what so ever. Your still the same position a normal person is just that your treated as if you below human. They will either treat you like your a baby or and if your not even human. I've always had to deal with not being able to even start or hold a conversation, being ND is hell. Sorry you had time go through that though
