Intro
I just wanted to write a quick post about how we work with our ratings.
WARS
WARS (or weighted average ratio score) is an average between 0-1 of whether or not someones ratios are holding them back, or are in the ideal range. The perfect WARS = 1 which is when someone has all ideal ratios and angles, however this alone does not prove someone is a chad. As many people have good ratios but are average.
This aspect just sees if there are any ratios or overall if their general ratios/harmony is failoing a person. However a score of 1 doesn't necessarily mean they are haloed.
For instance a mid tier normie may score 0.9 but be a 5/10. But if a low tier normie scored , for instance, 0.5 this would tell us they are significantly held back aesthetically by the ratios here.
Think of this as the potential someone has to ascend, a low WARS = limited potential. High WARS = pretty much ideal base to ascend
Features
The next way we rate someones looks is their features.
The two main halos are jaw area- we will have a look at the width, how defined, the chin, whether they have hollow cheeks and if the jaw is objectively appealing to the female gaze. This is taken into consideration in the final rating
Eye Area: we take into account the eye shape, brows ,lashes eye color, and eye support and if it is a halo too this will affect the overall rating (the converse is also true)
Any other striking feature: ie some people have remarkable coloring like Thom Strijd, this would add to his halos. This is just an example , say for instance someonees zygos create that halo, this will also be taken into account. (the converse is also true here, if a feature deducts from the overall look we will factor that in, IE hair quality, poor eye support for instance)
Other Halos: Height, Physique, neck width and to a tiny tiny degree status is taken into account too. This ensures our rating are based on true SMV in real life.
To understand how this works say we take an 8 and a 5 with 1.0 WARS for simplicity in both cases.
The 8 is the chad because he isn't held back by his ratios / overall facial harmony. But he has a striking jaw and eye area or maybe some other halo like height or phsyique. But the 5 is capped , mainly due to his features, because it isn't the facial proportions that hold him back. However this means the 5 can ascend close to an 8, with enough correction via surgery or any other proven measure to gain a few halos!
Hopefully this is beginning to make some sense now.
Final 'red litmus test'
As humans, we have an eye for aesthetics built in, innately.
When I have my final rating I ensure to make sure , aesthetically, that it makes sense.
For instance if on paper someone is a 5, but they have really striking bones which makes them closer to a 6.5 in real life, I will give them this rating.
Or conversely if on paper someone is an 8, but maybe they just have some issues like skin quality for instance, or maybe some fuck ass hairstyle. This won't get past me aesthetically observing, adn will nerf them say closer to a 6.5-7 as it does come down to how someone aesthetically looks too at the end of the day.
Everyone has the innate ability to know subconsciously ,like a switch, is this person good looking. Yes or no, like boolean logic. And we know this within 13ms!
This is exactly how we rate, it is kinda a science but more of an art. As looks and aesthetics are art.
Thanks for reading, let us know what you think of this rating system below!
